Lake District Wildlife Park
Visit this incredible natural wildlife park set in 24 acres of beautiful parkland, and home to over one hundred species of wild and domestic animals. The residents range from fluffy, to scaly, to plain enormous – and are all waiting to meet you! Learn more about the wildlife at the daily talks and presentations from the keepers.
Meet a range of colourful birds, interesting reptiles and wonderful mammals, including gibbons, lemurs and mandrills! The whole family will love a day out at the Lake District Wildlife Park when you find your getaway at Keswick Reach.
Go Ape Whinlatter
Grab adventure and explore your thrill-seeking side, all while taking in the stunning countryside which surrounds the resort.
Take on the Tree Top Challenge, and scale the forests with tricky high rope crossings, before completing the course on the adrenaline-filled Tarzan Swing!
Keep your feet closer to the ground with a Forest Segway session and follow the fun off-road trails in the woods.
The World of Beatrix Potter
The World of Beatrix Potter is a truly fabulous family attraction where you can meet all of Beatrix Potter’s much-loved animal creations, including Jemima Puddleduck, Flopsy, Mopsy and Cotton-Tail, and of course, the bunny in the blue blazer, Peter Rabbit himself.
The animatronic scenes have been beautifully created, along with the award-winning outdoor Peter Rabbit garden (or rather Mr McGregor’s garden!). Learn more about the author herself and her stories from the fabulous interactive exhibit available, before enjoying a bite to eat in the café and a wander around the gift shop.
A can’t-miss for the whole family, The World of Beatrix Potter is just a little drive away from us at Keswick Reach.
Derwent Pencil Museum
Did you know that Keswick is the home of the world’s first ever pencil? Well, you do now! This incredibly popular and fun museum is a fabulous day out for all ages (yes, really!).
You’ll enter through the replica graphite mine, and see what it took to make pencils back in the day (hint: a lot!) and what modern-day production looks like now.
There are also fabulous art and sketch workshops to join in with, as well as museums showcasing the Queen’s diamond Jubilee pencil, fascinating miniature pencil sculptures and the world’s largest colour pencil – at 8 meters. A truly wonderful and interactive experience for all ages to get stuck into, and a unique interactive day out!
Mirehouse and Gardens
Spend the day exploring the acres of gardens, lakeshore and woodland at Mirehouse.
Go on the interesting and detailed guided tours and listen to the fascinating stories of this family run house, where you’ll learn the interesting history of the stately home and the history just waiting to be told.
